Ingredients
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 3 pcs garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pc onion, chopped
- 2 cans sardines
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 3 pcs calamansi, juiced
- 1 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 4 cups talbos ng sayote
This dish uses canned sardines, but feel free to cook fresh ones if available.

Heat oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic and onions until the onion becomes translucent.
Add the sardines and break it into chunky bits.
Add the water, Knorr Liquid Seasoning, and juice from the calamansi, and bring it to a boil.
Add the talbos ng sayote. Cover and let the dish simmer until the vegetable has wilted.
Stir and season with fish sauce, if needed. Serve with steaming hot rice.
