Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pc egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup ice-cold water

Chili Tempura Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/4 cup Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili
  • 2 tbsp ginger, grated
Cooking Method
  1. Stir the cornstarch and all-purpose flour in a bowl.

  2. Add the egg yolk, then slowly whisk in ice-cold water until the batter becomes thick and flowy. Keep the mixture cold.

  3. For the tempura sauce, dissolve the sugar in hot water. Add the Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili.

  4. Mix the ingredients well and stir in the grated ginger.

  5. Serve the sauce with the cooked tempura.

It would be ideal to make the tempura batter right before you fry your veggies, chicken, or seafood. The water temperature is key to getting the texture right, so take note.
