This dish goes well with rice, but if you’re living healthy, you can try pairing it with a salad, brown rice, or quinoa.
If you’re pressed for time, use store-bought breading mix and five-spice powder instead for the chicken breading.

Ingredients
- 1 lb skinless chicken thighs, boneless
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- for garnish Thai basil
- neutral oil for air fryer
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can fry this dish in olive oil to make it healthier. You may also add some chili powder if you want to spice it up even more.

Cut the chicken thighs into one-inch cubes and pat dry.
Combine the five spice powder, onion powder, garlic powder, white pepper, salt, and Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili in a bowl, and mix well.
Marinade the chicken thighs in the spice mix for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the air fryer by pre-heating it to 400 F for 7 minutes. Combine the potato and cornstarch while the air fryer is heating up. Lightly dredge the thigh pieces in the starch mix.
Spray the air fryer with the neutral oil. Place the chicken thighs and ensure there’s space between every piece. Spray the top of each piece lightly. Cook the chicken at 400 F for 6 minutes.
Lower the temperature to 375 F and shake the basket up. Cook the chicken thighs for another 4-5 minutes.
For your last batch, spray the Thai basil with some neutral oil, and add in for the last 4 minutes to make it crispy.
