Let’s face it: who doesn’t like fried chicken, right? It’s a comfort food staple in every household. But what if you want to live a healthier lifestyle? Should you give up fried chicken altogether? No, you don’t have to! Our Taiwanese popcorn chicken recipe is much more nutritious than your regular fried chicken and has a Taiwanese twist!
Our easy homemade popcorn chicken recipe uses Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili, adding a spicy kick to this Taiwanese night market favorite. While you can still fry your chicken in a regular cooking pan, we used an air fryer to make the dish healthier and easier to prepare.
This dish goes well with rice, but if you’re living healthy, you can try pairing it with a salad, brown rice, or quinoa.
If you’re pressed for time, use store-bought breading mix and five-spice powder instead for the chicken breading.
