Easy Peasy 5-Step Adobong Labong Recipe
Every Pinoy home has their own special adobo recipe, but have you ever tried cooking yours with bamboo shoots A.K.A labong? This healthy ingredient adds an earthy flavor to your average adobo. And guess what? Our recipe only has five easy steps!

Ingredients
- 2 to 2 1/2 cups bamboo shoots, cut into 1 to 2 inches in length
- 1/8 lb pork or beef, thinly sliced
- 6 pcs medium shrimps, shelved and deveined
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 pc Knorr Pork Cube/ Knorr Beef Cube
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 pc medium onion, chopped
- to taste ground pepper
Cooking Method
If you plan on using fresh bamboo shoots, boil them first for about 20 minutes. This will remove the possible toxins in the shoots. If you’re using canned ones, let them soak in water for an hour before using them in the adobong labong recipe.
