Pinatisang Manok Recipe
This dish combines the rich and fresh flavor of chicken infused with ginger spice cooked in fish sauce based broth served with chili leaves.
When boiling the chicken, remember to skim the top of the liquid to remove the impurities and scum that rise up to keep the broth and sauce clear and clean.
- ½ kg. chicken breast fillet, cut into large cubes
- 1 pc 2-inch, ginger, cut into strips
- 2 cups water
- 1 pc. Knorr Chicken Cube
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 3 pcs. hardboiled egg
- ½ bunch dahon ng sili
- Get a medium pot nice and warm over high heat. Add water, ginger sticks, Knorr Chicken cubes, fish sauce and chicken breast cubes. Bring this to a boil then lower the heat to a simmer. Add the hardboiled eggs and continue to simmer until chicken is tender.
- With just a topping of dahon ng sili and cooking it a minute longer, this dish is done. So simple and easy to make yet there is so much joy that this Pinatisang Manok brings to the family.
