Lapu-Lapu Fish con Mayonesa, a Party Classic
Family reunions are a terrific time to flaunt a new look, talent, or skill. What better way to unveil your kitchen prowess than to take command of the party menu? If you want to get on the good side of all guests, especially the “wiser” set, serve this lapu-lapu fish con mayonesa.
Many know this recipe as “rainbow lapu-lapu.” Others might use the more traditional “lapu-lapu de la reyna.” Whichever your family calls it, the dish is sure to bring back fond memories from the ’80s and ’90s. Make sure to round out your throwback menu with embutido and mango float. Or if some relatives like their fish fried than steamed, offer another classic, like sweet and sour lapu-lapu.

To remove any fishy taste or smell, stuff the lapu-lapu with herbs and spices before steaming.
